We couldn’t recommend Emma highly enough. She tutored my daughter throughout Years 5 and 6, and the improvement in her maths was absolutely fantastic. She has a very calm and reassuring way of teaching, which really helped my daughter feel comfortable and confident, even when she found things difficult. She always made lessons enjoyable and never made her feel under pressure.
Ms. Emma is an exceptional English teacher, and I highly recommend her! My son has been taking online English lessons with her, and we have been extremely impressed with her professionalism, patience, and teaching approach. She has a wonderful ability to explain even difficult topics in a simple and understandable way, while also making every lesson enjoyable.
Emma was Tigran’s teacher, and we feel very lucky that he had the opportunity to learn from her. She is a kind, patient and dedicated teacher. Tigran always felt comfortable and supported in her class, and we really appreciated the way she encouraged him and helped build his confidence.
I had the pleasure of entering Emma’s class every week as a specialist teacher, and it was always a joy to see the new innovation opportunities she provided for her students. Emma’s students are always encouraged to strive for their best, challenged to push the boundaries of their learning, and nurtured to become the best they can be. She is a Super Star Educator!
Emma is so professional and has a wealth of experience across the primary age range. She also makes learning fun and gives children so much confidence in their own abilities. She helped my granddaughter when she was taking her 11+ exams, and she passed with flying colours.
Emma was our son’s teacher when we first arrived in Armenia. With her kindness and openness she helped him adapt and feel welcome, and his English improved quickly. She was very patient and always consulted us on how to find the best solution for him, and motivated him to excel in class and beyond. Her passion for board games played a pivotal role in bonding with our son.
I really enjoy my lessons with Emma! She always comes well prepared, listens to my wishes, and is very patient and supportive. I feel more confident speaking English after our lessons. I’m very happy to have her as my teacher.
The story behind EdLab
Emma spent 23 years leading Key Stage 2 classrooms, English and Maths departments, and whole-school training programmes before starting EdLab. What began as her own practice is now a project she's building to outgrow her, one specialist and one resource at a time.
